Keke Palmer may not consider herself an activist, but she has been using her platform to speak out against racism and talk about Black Lives Matter. For Cosmopolitan‘s “Jaugust” of the cover, the 26-year old continued to use her voice as she talked about the recent protests in the country, why she does not consider herself an activist, and whether or not the 26 is going to be your year.
Most recently, she was applauded for her reaction, at a protest, where they asked members of the National guard to “march with us, protect us!” Prior to that, in 2014, Keke joined the demonstrations in Ferguson, MOand he encouraged his followers to take to the streets in place of Twitter to initiate a positive change.
