Doom Patrol has made the movement of the DC Universe for HBO’s Max for the second season, but what does that mean for your release schedule? After the release of the first three episodes, the June 25 HBO Max is going to be releasing new episodes weekly on Thursdays. The rest of the six episodes are currently scheduled to be released one per week: 2 July, 9 July, 16 July, 23 July, 30 July and August. 6.
Based on the DC Comic of the same name, Doom Patrol follows a group of “misfits” superheroes that were created due to the unfortunate accidents that have left them scarred, both physically and emotionally. Summoned by The Chief of the Doom Patrol’s mission is not only to investigate the strange phenomena that surrounds them, but to save the world when the time comes. Darker than the traditional superhero of the story, at its core Doom Patrol it is both quirky and full of heart as it is truly a story about outcasts that come together to form a family.
The series stars Timothy Dalton as The Boss, with Brendan Fraser as the former NASCAR driver turned into cyborg Cliff Steele, Diane Guerrero as Jane who is the girl with 64 personalities, April Bowby as a former Hollywood actress turned gelatinous blob Rita Farr, Alan Tudyk, such as the ubiquitous supervillain, Mr. Nobody, Matt Bomer as the former Air Force pilot-turned-negative source of energy Larry Trainor, and Joivan Wade as the famous Teen Titan Cyborg. Although Cyborg is shared between Doom Patrol and Titansthe show exists outside of the continuity established in the Titans-world.
