It is a surprise that we are waiting with bated breath for the debut of Beyoncé Black Is The King? The visual of the album — which was written, directed, and executive produced by Bey herself — is based on the music of his 2019 LP The Lion King: The Gift, which was published in conjunction with Disney’s The Lion King.
“Black Is The King it is a celebration of the memory of the world of the Black experience,” Beyoncé’s Parkwood Entertainment and Disney said in a statement. “The film is a story for all ages that informs and is reconstructed in the present. A meeting of cultures and a shared generational beliefs. A story of how people left, most of the fractures have an extraordinary talent and a purpose in the future.”
Black Is The King will be available to stream on Disney+, from July 31. If you do not have Disney+ already, you can sign up right now for $6.99 per month or $69.99 for the entire year. Since this is Beyoncé we’re talking about, it is definitely worth it.
