When it comes to couples, Lin-Manuel Miranda and his wife Vanessa Nadal surely one of the sweetest love stories. Before making it big on Broadway with Hamilton, Lin-Manual met with the lawyer when he was still in high school. Although he had been in love with her, he never worked up enough courage to talk to her. “She was beautiful, and I am famously bad at talking to women it seems to me attractive,” he said The New York Times in the year 2010. “I have a total lack of game”. Despite the fact that the two were separated when they went to separate universities — Lin-the Manual went to Wesleyan University, while Vanessa went to MIT — that eventually found their way back to each other.
In the summer of 2005, Lin-Manual of Vanessa on Facebook and invited her to his Freestyle Love Supreme show. After getting his number from a friend’s phone, Lin-Manuel invited to another show, where he eventually won with his improvising skills. “When he took the stage, I thought, I really like this guy,” she said The New York Times. “He was there improvising and weaving rhymes together. It is quite impressive. He is very, very smart.”
Similarly, Lin-Manual was impressed by the degree of confidence Vanessa was. “She knows that the drug,” he said The New York Times. “She is beautiful, but not in vain. She is intelligent, but not arrogant. It’s like all killer, no filler.” Finally, he invited Vanessa over to his house to play Grand Theft Auto, a watch JAY-Z of the film, and listening to Marc Anthony, and the rest is pretty much history.
In September 2010, the two tied the knot with a reception that includes Lin-Manuel singing “To Life” Fiddler on the Roof. In addition to show your love on the red carpet once in a while, the couple are happy parents of two.
