Gary Janetti is one of my favorite people on Instagram. In a time where real news coverage is . . . exhausting, Janetti of the account — that is a tongue-in-cheek page dedicated to the city of Prince George — is a breath of fresh air that makes a mockery of the relentless coverage of the members of the British royalty. Also, it makes me cackle on a daily basis (there’s a reason why the page has almost a million followers).

And clearly, HBO Max agrees, because the network has greenlit a satirical animated TV series titled The Princethat will be produced by Janetti of himself and 20th Century Fox TV.

According to the Deadlinethe series will follow a cartooned 6 years of age, the Prince George — expressed by Janetti — “shedding the actual ‘tea’ in his family, followers, and of the British Monarchy.” The show has been described as a “scathing, satirical look at the life of Prince George of Cambridge, the youngest [heir] to the British throne, as he navigates the trials and tribulations of being a real boy.”

The voice cast includes Orlando Bloom as Prince Harry, Condola Rashad as Meghan Markle, Lucy Punch as Kate Middleton, Tom Hollander as Prince Philip and Prince Charles, Alan Cumming as George butler, Frances De La Tour, as Queen Elizabeth, and Iwan Rheon as Prince William.

When asked about his role in The PrinceBloom admitted to The Hollywood Reporter“I’m not someone who wants to make fun of someone normally, but this was so smart, witty, and lovingly done.” He added: “I had not met [Prince Harry] when I signed up to do so, and subsequently met with him and he is a good guy. This guy is so nice, and I think that has a great sense of humor. I hope that supports you through this, because it is as if they were on a pedestal. Is showing us the true worship them in one way or another. I try to justify it, because, frankly, if I’m honest, I don’t like to make fun of anyone, but it is done with affection.”

By the sounds of it, Bloom not wait for Prince Harry to see the show itself and discover who is the protagonist of your paper. “I’m going to mention that Prince Harry when I come to see him, because I’m not going to be able not to.” We would like to, without doubt, would give anything to be a fly on the wall of the conversation. Bloom also revealed that his wife, Katy Perry, is the real reason I said yes to be in the cast. “Actually, Katy saw a little bit of it and I was like, ‘You have to do this. This is a genius.'” We can’t wait to see the genius on our TV screens when the time comes.

It is not yet clear when the show will begin production, but we will keep a close eye on this (and will keep you informed).
