We’re one step closer to a Law & Order: SVU reunion between Olivia Benson and Elliot Stabler. On Jan. 15, costars Mariska Hargitay and Christopher Meloni shared on-set selfies on Instagram, teasing their season 22 episode. Are you ready for it?
Hargitay and Meloni shared the screen from SVU‘s first episode until season 12, when Meloni departed from the series. He’s now set to return to the Law & Order universe in his own spin-off, which will be introduced through a guest spot in Hargitay’s 2021 show.
Meloni’s appearance was supposed to take place during the SVU season premiere, but, according to showrunner Warren Leight, plans changed. His spinoff, Law & Order: Organized Crime doesn’t have a premiere date yet, but we do know his SVU return will coincide with the new show’s first episode. We can hardly wait to see what comes next.
