Blue Ivy Scores His First BET award Nomination at the Age of 8

In only 8 years, Blue Ivy Carter has an impressive resume of me, and I’m not even crazy about it. The young star only he won his first nomination at the BET Awards to be featured on her mother Beyoncé’s song “Brown Skin Girl” The Lion King: The Gift the soundtrack of the album. The uplifting anthem, which also features Saint Jhn and Wizkid, was nominated for the 2020 BET of Your Award, which honors neo-soul and traditional R&B artists. The song against Alicia Keys’s “Underdog,” Ciara “Melanin,” Lizzo’s “Tempo” Layton Greene’s “I choose”, and Rapsody “of Afeni.”

Of course, this is not the first time Blue has been recognized for his contributions to the “Brown Skin Girl.” Last Summer, the popular song entered the Billboard Hot 100, and only a few months later, the Blue won an award for song composition in the 2019 BET Soul Train Awards to help his mom from the pen of the song on the empowerment of the letters about the beauty of the Black woman.
