Elle has a new love interest in A Kiss In The Booth 2and he is giving Noah a run for his money. In the Netflix sequel, Elle is drawn to the new kid in school with the name of Marco, played by Taylor Zakhar Perez. Not only is he incredibly attractive and charming, but he is also a musician. Fainting! Throughout the film, Marco shows off his musical skills as presented in the Halloween party and on the street. Of course, our main thought after seeing the film was: is that really Perez singing and playing the guitar?
The short answer is yes! During an interview with POPSUGAR, Perez confirmed that he is the real performance during those scenes. “I have practiced my butt off,” he said about the musical moments in the film. “I was super, super lucky to have [the film’s director Vince Marcello], which has a crazy amazing musical background, being an actor on Broadway. He was able to me of greatness, and just give me all the support I needed.”
Despite the fact that he grew up singing, Perez admitted that he had never played the guitar before, so that was definitely the learning experience. “Looking at the strings, I was very confused the first couple of weeks,” he said. “And, then, it is just that they became like muscle memory.” I definitely think that he did a great job!
