If 2020 has taught us anything, it’s that fact-checking is crucial, especially when it comes to your health. Following the CDC’s announcement about a potential COVID-19 vaccine, Black Panther star Letitia Wright shared a since-deleted video on Twitter, which spread dangerous misinformation about the vaccine.
The 69-minute video, which Letitia posted on Dec. 3 alongside a praying hands emoji, came from YouTube Channel On The Table and featured Light London Church leader Tomi Arayomi questioning the legitimacy of the vaccine. Tomi also accused China of spreading COVID-19 and made transphobic and xenophobic comments during his interview, according to Variety. YouTube has since removed the video for violating its terms of service.
“My intention was not to hurt anyone, my ONLY intention of posting the video was it raised my concerns with what the vaccine contains and what we are putting in our bodies . . .
