Jhené Aiko treated fans to a beautiful intimate performance that had us feeling like we were right there in the room with her and her masked band. During an appearance on NPR’s popular Tiny Desk Concert series on Thursday, the R&B singer delivered an eight-song medley featuring tracks from her latest album, Chilombo, as well as throwback hits like “Stranger” and “Eternal Sunshine.”
Aiko’s soothing yet wildly versatile vocals were accompanied by an actual sound bath, complete with crystal singing bowls and peaceful music from her band. Wearing a gorgeous ocean-blue dress, the singer-songwriter, who’s hosted meditation sessions in the past, offered soulful takes on her music as she radiated a sense of calm and serenity.
