What Are Lila’s Competence in The Umbrella Academy?

THE UMBRELLA ACADEMY (L to r) RITU ARYA as LILA and DAVID CASTAEDA as DIEGO HARGREEVES in episode 204 of THE UMBRELLA of the ACADEMY of the Cr. CHRISTOS KALOHORIDIS/NETFLIX 2020
Season two of Netflix’s The Umbrella Academy it is full of trippy twists, turns, and jumps of time, but perhaps the most surprising revelation involves newcomer Lila (Ritu Arya) — a character introduced in the program in place of Gerard Way Dark Horse comics source material. Throughout the season, we see Lila working in secret with The Driver to take over The Commission and, eventually, take note of the superpowered siblings Vanya (Ellen Page), Luther (Tom Hopper), Diego (David Castaneda), Allison (Emmy Raver-Lampman), Number Five (Aidan Gallagher), and Klaus (Robert Sheehan). In most of the episodes, Lila is not aware of The exact Driver of the agenda or The Driver for the connection to their parents, to the murder— but all is revealed in the final episode when sh*t hits the fan, and Lila reveals the most powerful ability of all the Hargreeves children.

That’s right, Lila has powers, and they are amazing. During the confrontation between the Driver of the army and the Umbrella Academy, Vanya launches an incredible force of energy that erases the previous one. However, Lila, creates a force field around her and The Driver before pulling equally powerful energy back to Vanya. In the first place, this suggests that Lilac has the same capacity as the Vania, but then is taken out of each one of the brothers by channeling their powers to use against them. She throws Luther through a window, like a rag doll, “” rumors,” of Allison on not breathing, and has an optically exciting time-space continuum, struggle with the Number Five.

There is not a definitive explanation of what Lila powers, but, in essence, she is able to reflect other people’s abilities. In his words, “anything that you can do, I can do better.” She uses her dexterity superhuman of the tires outside the Umbrella of the Academy of kin before confronting The Driver, she discovers that she is partially responsible for his dead parents. But before Lila gives vent to his anger, The Driver shoots her dead after you kill the Hargreeves family. Fortunately, the Number Five is able to use the last part of his force to travel seconds back in time and undo The Driver of the murder spree, of way to save his brothers (including Lila because, you guessed it, she was born the same day as them and it is technically your sister). Lila and grabs hold of one of the Committee of time travel, briefcases and whooshes you away to a place unknown. But we have the feeling that this will not be the last we see of her. Who knows, you may get involved with the current Sparrow of the Academy that was introduced in the season’s final moment. We are ready for a third chapter, Netflix!
