A Kiss In The Booth 2 hit Netflix, on the 24th of July, and we have had the curiosity of knowing if there will be a third installment. After that cliffhanger ending with Elle, can you blame us? Well, good news, The Kissing Booth 3 is happening, has already been filmed, and that comes in 2021! During a virtual Q&A, on the 26th of July, the cast members Joey King, Joel Courtney, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, Taylor Zakhar Perez, and Meganne Young made the announcement before the release of an exclusive clip of the upcoming movie, which you can see in the 42-minute mark below. Netflix also revealed the news on Instagram with a promotional video.
What will be the third chapter likely to pick up? After graduating from high school, Her future is quite uncertain. We’re going to go to Harvard and be with her boyfriend Noah, or going to meet his long-time dream of attending the University of California, Berkeley with his best friend Lee? Despite getting in both schools, Elle lies and says to Noah and Lee she was waiting list, leaving endless possibilities for the third film. Needless to say, the stars are certainly excited about continuing the story, though they remained tight-lipped about the details. They did, however, talk with POPSUGAR about their hopes for each character — you know, as if they didn’t already film the follow-up.
Taylor Zakhar Pérez thinks that the end could open a door with a Frame, and Elle to get together in the future. “I say that justice Frame,” he joked. “I think we have another movie to see what happens between the two of them because I think that the second movie kind of just the tip of the iceberg of what Elle and Marco could be.”
Maisie Richardson-Sellers also love to see the relationships of the second film to flourish. “I think we have seen the beginning of something really interesting connections and bonds, and around the world has grown so much by the end of this film,” he said. “All of his relationships have been developed, and all of them have matured a little bit, so I’d like to see in that I was going to develop after that. Because I’m assuming that it was going to be after high school, if there is a next film.”
On the other hand, Joel Courtney would like you to Read focus on yourself and grow as a person in another film. “I would love to see Lee just coming into her own and be completely safe,” he said. “What I know that comes with maturity and that comes with time, and it’s one of those things that one must learn by failing. But I want to see what the earth in itself and be able to maintain his position in life.”
Of course, no one is more excited about the third movie of Joey King. “Elle has herself in a bit of a pickle now, doesn’t it? She is really good at getting herself into pickles, but she really is going to get herself out of them too,” King said about the cliffhanger ending. Fortunately, we will get to see how Elle presents herself in a difficult situation when The Kissing Booth 3 hits Netflix next year!
