Unsolved mysteries: What Happened to Lena Chapin? Theories

Family Drama and the disturbing disappearance of loom around the sixth episode of Netflix’s Unsolved Mysteries. The installation requires a deep immersion in the particular case of Lena Chapin, a young woman who disappeared from Dent County, MO, in 2006 after she claimed, on tape, that his mother killed his stepfather.

Lena’s case is full of twists and turns. It really focuses on a woman: Sandy McCullough (now Wink), Lena’s mother. The story begins with the disappearance of Lena’s stepfather Gary McCullough in 1999. Gary had never lost his job, so he leak raised concerns for friends, family, and coworkers. Sandy told people that Gary had gone to buy cockfighting. At this point, Sandy had been having an affair with a man named Kristopher Klemp. When police obtained a search warrant to go through the house, that made strange discoveries: none of Gary’s clothes were there, and Kris had been living there shortly after the disappearance. No one has found Gary, Sandy, and soon to be married to Kris.

Over the years, Lena grew increasingly agitated, so presumably he knew about the case. One day, in 2003, he confessed to his ex-stepfather Albert — Gary brother. Albert recorded the conversation on his tape recorder. Lena said Sandy had shot Gary in the head several times while he was eating scrambled eggs. Sandy and Kris wrapped up the body and burned to ashes, and Lena is forced to help with the cleaning. Lena, finally, he turned to his confession, after his mother found out and got a lawyer. Gary the family pursued legal action against Kris and Sandy in 2006, the nomination of Lena as an accomplice of murder. The idea was that Lena could get immunity to testify, but Lena disappeared months before. Gary the family finally sued to Kris and Sandy in a civil lawsuit, the jury award $7 million for Gary wrongful death.
