Since the launch of The Justice League in 2017, fans have been calling for Warner Bros. to release something that is lovingly referred to as the “Snyder Court.” Now, it seems that those prayers have been answered, as the news that the director Zack Snyder’s original cut The Justice League is coming to HBO Max in 2021. Jason Momoa (Aquaman), confirmed the news himself with an Instagram shot of the cast, writing, “we WANT ultimately happens. your welcome. the justice serves. all my aloha to all who made this possible. all of the fans. we love you. ALOHA J.” As a reminder, Snyder had to leave the project due to a family emergency, and The Justice League it was reshot and then updated by Joss Whedon.
Although it is not clear if the film will be released as a four-hour director’s cut or divided into six chapters,” what is clear is that Snyder and his wife and producing partner, Deborah Snyder, are working hard to re-assemble much of the original crew to help finish the project — including some of the original actors for more dialogue. And in case you’re worried that I might be the same movie again, Zack Snyder said The Hollywood Reporter, “it will be a completely new thing, and, above all, talking to those who have seen the movie version, a new experience, other than the movie”.
We absolutely cannot wait to see what the “Snyder Court” brings to the table, particularly, the potential emergence of supervillain, Darkseid. If anything, our enthusiasm is only met by Momoa and Snyder himself.
