Wednesday Addams is one of the most iconic onscreen characters. Perhaps I’m biased because, well, I am Wednesday. As someone who is easily scared, it’s surprising how much I relate to her and enjoy the Addams Family films. Between Thing — the disembodied hand that occasionally wriggles into my nightmares — and Cousin Itt, I have multiple reasons to avoid the movies. But I’ve always been captivated by the family’s confident dissent, especially Wednesday. Her comebacks, jaded aura, and general disdain for people is oddly commendable.
