As we patiently await the expected release of Eddie Murphy Coming to America sequel, Kiki Layne — who is set to star alongside Murphy in the film — is to share some details about the movie that have us wanting more, as soon as possible. During an interview in Late Night With Seth Meyers on the night of Thursday, The Old Guard star teased that her character “kick a little ass,” and we are as well ready to see what happens.
Layne also revealed that he first saw the movie when I was about 9 years old and has been a huge fan ever since, making the experience of taking part in the sequel truly special for her. “It is a classic and these are all people that love the first film, the love of working together,” he said. “So, you know, to be a witness of this meeting of the families of the class, and then to be invited to be part of that family, is special, is so special.”
Coming 2 America it will be released in August. 7, and will be the protagonist of some of the original cast, including Arsenio Hall and James Earl Jones. If Layne’s character is anything to go by, we have the strong suspicion that this movie is going to kick ass.
