If you’re looking for a dose of inspiration, Alicia Keys and Brandi Carlile have the perfect prescription: their new song, “A Beautiful Noise.” The singers debuted the powerful track during CBS’s Every Vote Counts: A Celebration of Democracy special on Oct. 29. They each played pianos while highlighting the importance of using your voice and voting to make a positive difference. “It is loud, it is clear / It’s stronger than your fear,” they crooned. “It’s believing you belong / It’s calling out the wrong.”
After the set, Keys took to Twitter to celebrate the song’s release. “Loved making #ABeautifulNoise with you tonight @brandicarlile,” she wrote. “WE ALL HAVE A VOICE!” Carlile shared the same sentiment of gratitude, responding, “I loved EVERY SECOND of it you absolute legend!” Watch the full performance above, and please (please, please) get out and vote!
