We're pretty much all in agreement that we've never needed the wholesome content of The Great British Baking Show more, and the time has finally arrived. Despite delays due to COVID-19, Britain's best amateur bakers will once again gather in the tent hoping to prove (sorry, not sorry) their technical bakes and showstoppers are enough to earn them the coveted title of Star Baker. This year, Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith will return as judges, and Noel Fielding will return as cohost along with comedian Matt Lucas, who is replacing Sandi Toksvig as cohost. Knowing we aren't good with change when it comes to our beloved Baking Show, producers have promised us that the show won't be dissimilar from past seasons, despite challenges faced by the pandemic. Filming for the new season began at the end of July, and it was reported that all contestants and crew had to quarantine for 14 days prior to filming. The new season will premiere in the UK on Sept. 22, then head to Netflix at a later date. So, without further ado, let's meet the 2020 Great British Baking Show contestants: Hermine, 39-year-old accountant living in London Dave, 30-year-old security guard from Hampshire Linda, 61-year-old retirement-living team leader from East Sussex Loriea, 27-year-old diagnostic radiographer from Durham Makbul, 51-year-old accountant from Greater Manchester Sura, 31-year-old pharmacy dispenser from London Marc, 51-year-old bronze resin sculptor from Leicester, now living in Cornwall Laura, 31-year-old digital manager from Kent Mark, 32-year-old public-health project worker from Northern Ireland, now living in Liverpool Peter, 20-year-old accounting and finance student from Edinburgh Lottie, 31-year-old pantomime producer from West Sussex Rowan, 55-year-old music teacher from Worcestershire Here's the lot of 'em!
